The Chicago Bears are already being looked at as potential trade partners, with linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and defensive tackle Gervon Dexter among the players whose names are swirling.
Edmunds has been given permission from the Bears to seek a trade, while NFL teams have been calling about Dexter to trade for him. They are not the only Bears players who could be traded this offseason.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Bears are also receiving calls about backup quarterback Tyson Bagent and wide receiver DJ Moore. Bagent was already reportedly getting interest from the Arizona Cardinals, while Moore has been seen more as a potential cap casualty.
DJ Moore and Tyson Bagent are the latest that could be traded from Bears
Moore and Bagent are less surprising than Dexter, as those two are already in conversations to be traded. There are quite a few NFL teams that are desperate to trade for a quarterback, so after the success of the Bears in 2025, everyone wants to see if Bagent has a chance to be a star on their teams.
As for Moore, he's got four more years on his contract after signing an extension with the team a couple of years ago. He's about to have a $28.5 million cap hit on the Bears, but can save $16.5 million if he is traded before June 1.
Adding to the Moore situation, his stats have gone down dramatically from his first season with the team in 2023 to now. He went from having over 1,300 yards receiving in 2023 to just 682 yards in 2025.
Edmunds is in the same boat as Moore, as he is a player they want to move to free up cap space. The Bears were in the negatives for cap space going into the offseason and have some moves they need to make, including releases, trades, and potentially restructuring contracts.
